I *might* have an opportunity to work in Bridgeport and would like any insight into the area if possible. I am kind of a "loner" type who would like to find a nice rural piece of property and build a modest home on it.

Any insight?

I currently live 60 miles from the area but if the job works out I am not going to drive that forever. I've got around 50,000 in equity +/- in my property, what would that get me as far as raw land? (outside of town/rural)

Thanks Keeper, I didn't see Bridgeport listed in the Alabama section. I have been in the area a couple of times but was hoping for local insight. I am not even sure if I will get a call about the job
