I have been to alabama several times and I have to say it's one of the friendlist places I've ever been to. And it's like that pretty much all over. Every store or gas station or anywhere i walked into the people treated me as if they knew me my whole life. I felt very welcomed everywhere I went. I can't even begin to describe to you how kind the people are that live there. You will feel right at home almost any place you go to.

Glad you liked it! I'm happy living here in Alabama's biggest city which some people would probably say would make it the least friendliest. Its still pretty friendly though and its really growing. Maybe its the weather and quality of life that makes people happy. I've always liked the South. Come down and visit!

Thank You.. it is nice of you to take the time to post your thoughts. I think if you read the AL forum you will see we have some of the nicest posters here. We can disagree without name calling or being rude.
Come back again soon.. and let us know when you are coming down if you want/need ideas of what to see or where to go.

You are so right! Hubby and I moved here a month or so ago and I can honestly say, this is the most friendly place we ever lived.

We're orginally from CA, but lived in FL the past 2 years. We've also lived in Idaho and Maryland in the past. We're in northern AL and I can't say enough about the place and the people. Everyone has been wonderful and we feel right at home.

I feel lucky I found this fourm when I did. We had so much help from all the posters here...just as Keeper said, they are very helpful, and very kind....as are all the people we've met since making our move to this beautiful state. We love it here!

I wish I could remember the town I went to. It's the town where the couple has all the animals on their property. They have monkeys, zebras, ect. Anyway I had went to a restaraunt there..it was a mom and pop at the back of the convenient store and I kid you not. I felt like i had stopped by my grandma's house. We ended up staying there for a couple hours just talking to everyone. The people really are like they portray them on the movies. You really do get southern hospitality there. I'd love to move there who knows maybe when the girls are grown. If I waited on my youngest to be grown I'd be waiting a reaally long time..he was a later in life gift lol..
