There is no Montgomery subsection. The state's capital and one of the largest cities. Can we get one added? I used to live in Montgomery.

There doesn't appear to be that much demand for one.

My son just moved to Montgomery and I'd love to find out more about the area so I hope they do add a sub section.

I agree. There are not many threads specific to Montgomery presently. If there were more threads and active interest and discussion in regards to Montgomery, that could spur future interest.

I would strongly caution that the effect of creating a subforum can be exactly opposite to what might be expected.

The Vermont forum had folks lobby for a Burlington subforum. It resulted in many Vermonters who were outside of the city or only passingly interested in it never seeing or responding to the threads. The subforum started out with a little traffic, but quickly turned dead. A side effect is that traffic in the main forum is less as well.

From what I have seen over the years, it takes at least twenty individuals willing to read and post regularly for a forum or subforum to succeed.

It is the arm pit of the state and if the state government wasn't housed there it would be equivalent to Gadsden or Selma. That is about all you need to know.

Where do you get off saying "we are the armpit of the state?"
What are your qualifications? And noticing you're from Birmingham, that's also an "armpit", as well.
I live in a neighborhood in Montgomery where I don't even lock my door. How many others can say that?

I will never understand the pleasure some people receive from the concept of "not locking their doors at night". I mean you take 2 seconds to turn a knob to make your personal body safer. I could be in the Alaska wilderness and I am still going to lock my door.
