I'm thinking about relocating to Auburn AL but wanted to know where does the faculty/staff live? Do they commute in or live in the college town? Also I have a 11 year old and wanted to know the best middle school?

Most live in the city limits of Auburn which has one of the best public school districts in the state. There are quite a few neighborhoods of single family homes where very few students live while most of the apartment complexes and a handful of single family home neighborhoods are almost 100% students. Any realtor in the area will point you in the right direction.

As for best middle school, there is probably only one or maybe 2 middle schools in Auburn and I'm sure they are both really good because as I said, it is one of the best public school districts in the state.

The majority live in Auburn or Opelika. Auburn as a city is pretty much Auburn University, the majority of the people have some association with the university.

With that being said, IMO Auburn is heaven on earth (ok, as an alum I am a bit biased!)

But with all seriousness, Auburn is a GREAT place to live. Very healthy real estate market. Excellent public schools. I have several friends from my time at AU who have made their way back there to raise their families. The Auburn school system is excellent top to bottom. Opelika, not so much. Living in Auburn is going to cost more, but its really worth it.

War Eagle!
