Perhaps to you, but I am guessing the tourism industry of coastal MS strongly disagrees with you about the casinos.

I do agree with you though that the MS gulf coast isn't and never wast a beach destination in the same way AL/FL beaches are.

There is something for everyone along that stretch.

I thought this stuff was common knowledge, but apparently Lizap doesn't understand.
... and healthcare. If you work in healthcare you can easily find a job in the panhandle.

I disagree here, Eastern Shipbuilding has now over 2,000 employees in Panama City and just received a contract to build all the Coast Guards off shore boats. You also have two major ports in the area with the Panama City Port just received a major expansion.

The Fla Panhandle may have that but the majority of the jobs are service related.Baldwin has 3 companies that are aerospace related industries but that does not mean that the economy is aerospace driven.

All parts of AL are more like north LA. South LA is very different than north AL and most of the southern U.S. Examples include food, culture, language (accent in many parts of south LA is either French or Northeastern U.S. sounding)..
