We got the shot today in Gilbert AZ. We made reservations a few weeks ago and that was painful...the website was a bit wonky and required refresh after refresh to get appointments to show for the same day.

The shot process was easy. One entrance, which had a steady inflow of cars, was open to a jr. college . We arrived for a 3:23 appt at 3:05. Everyone was polite, in good humor but professional. We exited the parking lot at 3:35, a mere 30 minutes after arrival.

On to Montgomery on Friday.

I got my Moderna vaccine today. No bad side effects so far, just the typical sore arm.

I had to get mine done at our small local hospital. I went to a room with a nurse who gave me the shot, and then was sent to big recovery room with a timer set to 15 minutes. When the timer went off I gave it to the lady at the desk and left. Anyone with a history of allergies has to wait 30 minutes.

It never made much sense to me why educators were not initially included in the first wave of vaccines. Unlike many of the "high risk" who typically are more homebound; educators are surrounded by a large community of people through their work efforts.

They announced this morning that although that group will be eligible on February 8th, they won't be getting vaccinated anytime in the near future. There is already a shortage of vaccine doses.

More propaganda from the state. We are still ranked DEAD LAST in the percentage of vaccines received versus given.
Where are those 46% doses we have received but not given?

Who is they and do you have a link? I have slim window of chance to get my shots before I move to Arkansas. There is a clinic planned in my county for 2/9 and 2/11 which includes my age group.

It was on the radio on NPR. It came straight from the State Health Department that there was a shortage and vaccine doses were not going to be available. I heard the story a couple of times from different sources that day. I'm not going to go looking for the story to provide a link. It should be easy to find using a google search.
