I don't know if Mobile's GDP is 48 billion but the Mobile/Washington msa is around 23. If you add Baldwin as it does swing in and out then Mobile's GDP rightfully is 30 billion.48 billion would be nice though !

That's wishful thinking, not a valid argument. Using your same criteria, anybody can gin up any set of phony-baloney statistics based on what might happen in their fevered imagination.

Okay buddy in end, It’s still these two areas that have the combined GDP to compete with Birmingham, the 2 coastal counties (one inland county) and 2 of the northern most counties can hold their own against the 6 counties in upper central Alabama

Well, I'm sure you'll find a way to manipulate data in a way to support your thesis. But the fact that you're having to go through this convoluted exercise of ignoring government research when it's inconvenient to you doesn't exactly make you credible.

No matter how you put it, it’s still untrue, The data shows otherwise

Dothan's future growth will be limited due to not being near an interstate system.

You know good and well I never claimed that, so I don't know why you would respond to me with that. Oh, wait, yeah I do.

whatever happened to the I-10 spur idea? Dothan is an interesting enigma. Beautiful area, plenty of affordable land, nice airport and close to Florida beaches.

Personally, I don't think Dothan's growth will be limited by the lack of an interstate. Divided highways like Highway 80 (I think thats the designation for one that goes through selma and Montgomery) Highway 72, and parts of Highway 43, are great substitutes to interstates. Dothan has great infrastructure that's just as masterful as Birmingham's interstates system. Like the 4 interstates that converge onto Birmingham (creating 6 directions out), Dothan has 3 divided highways that converge onto Dothan in 5 direction with its own outerloop like Birmingham

Last I heard, it was going to be further west closer to Enterprise or Daleville.
Probably a budget casualty.
