Alabama has 5.03M residents, and 7 House members. So each district will have about 715,000. Can't remember what the ± tolerance is - seems like it's something like 5%. It'll be interesting to see how those district lines are redrawn.

looks like the state may have 6 cities over 100,000 in the next few years. i feel like Alabama would be in rare company there.

Surprised that Tuscaloosa didn't make it this time around.

I remember growing up in Meridan that it and Tuscaloosa were pretty much the same size - Meridan 50K, Tuscaloosa 55-60K. Now, Meridian is 35,000 and Tuscaloosa is near 100,000. Having a large university makes a huge difference.

Nope, the Tillman’s Corner CDP does not have any lines within the City of Mobile. When a city annex’s a part of a CDP that are becomes part of the city and no longer the CDP
