I read that Publix is a noted Southern grocery chain, what others are near Anniston, Pell City. Tell me there is a Pig nearby (Piggly Wiggly). Organic shops? Tell me what we are looking at

I'm from DC and everything is within walking distance including 5000 different wines, kababs, museums, salons, bookstores, miso soup and sushi, ha, I could go on but you get the gist.

Any advice, suggestions are more than welcome, thanks!

I can tell you this: Washington DC is VERY different from Anniston or Pell City (which are nowhere near each other). Welcome to the real world.

The real world? I've lived abroad, I've lived on a farm, I've been to Anniston just not in forever. I'm completely prepared that the area is limited in convenience.

Pell City from what we've researched and learned from a realtor is about 20 mins from Anniston.

I just want to know if there are large markets in the area, or am I going to have to drive an hr.. From the reply, I take it that I'll be driving an hour.

Almost for certain either town will have a Super Walmart. What more do you need? You can buy groceries, get your oil changed, tires rotated, get your hair done, get new eyeglasses, shop for the latest in dresswear, and eat.
