Which Part of Alabama is the Most Country?

Not the redneck country and/or the rolling in the mud country, but the nice laid back country living that Alabama is famous for; country as far as accent, food, and way of life.

That's pretty offensive to stereotype the state that way. Where do you get off calling us "country"?

I am country! When people say that I am country, I don't get offended! Why is this so offensive to you?

Stereotyping people is always offensive. Folks in Alabama are good people. Where do you get off calling us rednecks and hillbillies?

It is the defined as the point from which the two closest Starbucks are the most distant.

Ugh, the whining just never stops on city data.

OP, I would say not one area is the "most" there are pockets of country atmosphere all over the state.

So funny! Guess you didn`t quite get the answer you expected by any means. There are pockets of nice rolling country in some areas of the state. Along the edge of the Natchez Trace is rolling and pretty countryside. I recall along Guntersville there was a small area that was very pretty country. It comes in small waves or pockets. There are probably other states that are more what you are describing. Probably in Tenn. or parts of Georgia. I am sitting here trying to envision what you are describing, I too love just rolling country. Maybe after Huntsville heading toward Chattanooga there were some pretty farms with hills in the backround. And perhaps near Bear Creek are some pockets. I am sure I have missed several isolated areas but otherwise not so much.

"country as far as accent, food, and way of life."

Bless your heart. That would be Nashville.

When people talk about a "country" way of life, I'm never sure what they imagine that to be.

Come visit for some chiggers and ticks, and cast off dogs from the cities, armadillo roadkill, turkey vulture stench, and trying to figure out how to pay for the gas to town and back, then get back to us on that "laid-back" way of life.

The answer is anywhere outside of the 5 or 6 largest cities.
