Where is the best place to raise a family for someone who will be working in Tuscaloosa. I understand the schools in Tuscaloosa are rather subpar and private school options are good but costly.

My 5th grade son and 8th grade daughter will be transitioning sometime in March. WHAT NEIGHBORHOODS WITH EXCELLENT SCHOOLS DO YOU RECOMMEND IN THE $200-$250 RANGE FOR ACADEMICS.

Also, WHAT APTS. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE SCHOOLS AS WELL.

Northport's public public schools are fine.

I suggest you search the forum - there have been some earlier threads on Tuscaloosa. We don't have many Tuscaloosa residents here.
