About the Helicopters, I asume your pretty involved with them or you would not be headed there, Fort Rucker is the biggest training facility in the country besides Fort Hood TX. My biggest desire in life was to graduate high school and head streight for Fort Rucker, but due to an nerological problem I was unable to pass my physical. But I still love those Apache Longbows. They fly over Arab quite freqently on a path between Fort Rucker and Huntsville's Redstone Arsenal. As far as the area surrounding the Base , I'm sure you will be very pleased with any community you choose.

Good Luck Always Rick
Just so you know FT Bragg and FT Hood are the biggest.... Ft Rucker is potatoes comaped to the two!
