An electric chainsaw won't do much good. Get yourself a bow saw.

This thread had some potential entertainment value but the political nuances are a bore.

If you want to make a political thread, by all means make one, but don't hide behind "humor".

Nope, No bear riding for me, I'll ride my bike! Hate to enslave animals like that? What is a troll? A bitter old Alaskan city dweller that couldn't cut it in the bush?

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, ...

Totek, talk to Sity Data! He will be able to tell you a bajillion INUPIAQ NATIVE tricks (he's been living with them for 30 years!) that will keep you going good! Just be forewarned, that these tricks ONLY work in the Arctic, and quite possibly even only in Point Hope. Nothing works in Barrow though, apparently.

If you won't be in Point Hope, or even the Arctic at all, then perhaps the advice you've already received here will be good enough for you.

Hey, I've seen those tree plugs here in Washington too, BTW! Hiking out in the Cascades miles from the nearest town, there it was! I used it to plug in a small drier I had on me, to warm up my speedo. It was the middle of winter, afterall! Worked pretty well, so I'm sure the ones in Alaska will be fine too! Then the L to and from nowhere came into sight, and I was able to take it back out of the woods. It was great! Glad to hear Alaska has it all going on too!
