I came across this property for sale 10 grand for 5 acres in south central Alaska on a fairly large lake 20 miles to nearest town by floatplane or snowmobile in winter(probably could just trek the distance with an inflatable kayak to cross what looks to be good sized rivers). For those not familiar co-purchasing is a legal way to co-own property granted it requires more due diligence and paperwork. This would be the type of co-ownership where in the case that one member becomes diseased their share does not go to the other party-rather whoever is designated in the persons will. Also some legal stipulation about restrictions on selling the property would probably be in order as well. The end goal for myself would be to go live off the grid for a time-build a nice cabin/lodge then later down the road possibly lead hunting expeditions/rent the place out. In addition to not walking it. Co-buying land with someone with whom you do not have a close relationship is a BAD idea.
