Not sure about the price difference on the reds, but Kings are about the same.
The runs are at different times though so it would be hard to get away with passing them off as something else.
From the sounds of things ... if anything, they might try to pass off Copper River fish as being from SE Alaska, so they could charge a higher price for it.
It would be difficult to pull off. Anyone trying it would be at risk of never being sold Alaska seafood again from anywhere if they were caught, and catching them is easy.
