I use imageshack.us as a photo hosting site. Once I upload a picture to their site, it creates links which I can copy and paste into the quick reply box. It hotlinks to imageshack and whalaaa...a picture appears.

If you upload it as an attachment from a drive on your computer, it shows up all tiny at the bottom of your post and people have to click on it to see it. It's better to use a file hosting site like Flikr, Picasa, Photobucket, or ImageShack. Then you can just copy the url of the image and paste it between the img tags and it'll show up larger.

Also when I do copy paste a photo link from the hosting site...I use the "hotlink for forums" which is a slightly smaller picture size. This makes for faster picture uploads when folks open a thread in any forum on City Data. For those that have less than awesome internet service, it can take foreverrrrrrrrr to open a thread and wait for pictures to load where they can view them.

If you click on your name at the top, you'll get to your profile. Once there, you can create an album of pictures and upload them. You can then link to the pics by coping and pasting the URL or BB Code provided at the bottom of each pic.
