Oh for sure I am still crossing every toe and finger... I definitely would like this first location but still nervous about not living there yet and getting an interview.

To be honest... I could move there in six weeks in a pinch... not bringing much and my daughter is a very responsible young lady and she will take good care of my home. I believe she is looking forward to it... the bonus would be a place to stay when she does her research next summer in Alaska...well I must admit I'm hoping her research is close to where I'm going to be living... (see.. thinking postive )

I think you said it closed last week...AK does not move fast like you are used to...it could easily be a week or two or more before they contact, unless it is an emergent job...be patient, but I would still be applying too, just in case....if you want before the snow flys too much

Thanks... I worked for the state of Wisconsin and YES indeed SLOWWWW.... for sure. It took 2 months to finally get a job offer from them. I suppose I'm mentally pacing back and forth LOL... I am definitely thinking about the snow and winter fast approaching. My subaru can drive in quite a bit but who will come and help you if your tire goes off the road and your stuck in a ditch... one thing for sure.. I will be prepared with emergency things... comes from living here in Wisconsin... never a road trip without survival gear. I broke down when it was 20 below when my children were little. the blankets, food and extra clothing came in handy...

Sorry I rattle on... I will do what I have to do if/ or should I say WHEN the time comes...

Excellent. Don't forget to tell the interviewer that you're a close personal friend of Bee Oh Bee Bob Blockus.
