My daughter came down from Fairbanks with a Gaggle of friends, I had bought some fireworks and she brought some with her as well.

It was -40 outside so I had to build a bonfire about four hours before midnight so we would have some heat to stand and watch the show from.

The kids gathered around the fire and shot off roman candles and did sparklers while the big stuff was fired off about 100 feet away. It was a mix of rockets, mortars and fountains

This was one of the Mortar rounds, we has some really big ones too... They would go about three hundred feet into the air before bursting!

This was the Grand Finale, pretty good sized box with about twenty charges in it.

Yeah, in most of the State they are, not so much in Anchorage or other towns.

Don't know why the photos didn't show up on my iphone, but they seem to here, can everyone else see them?

Great show Star... I love the fireworks with the crackle at the end... always great with the campfire too... wish I would have gotten mine going but the firestand I use is close to my house and so windy with spitting freezing rain just couldn't stand in it ... ... there is always another day...

thank you for sharing

Looks like it had all the makings of a very fun evening. There is nothing better in life than to eat drink and be merry with family members creating memories that last a lifetime!
