Took a little walk up toward Solomon Lake at lunch

Then later one of the guys at work had to go to the clinic after a big pile of snow fell on him. Took two other guys to dig him out.

Speaking of Anchorage Zoo...the geologist I'm working with right now used to work at the Saracuse Zoo in NY, and he was the tiger caretaker when the 2 tigers at the Anc zoo were born (2 of 3 cubs) and cared for them until they were traded to the Anc zoo. He still knows their names and has pics of them when they were tiny cubs.

The weather is starting to change from the winter pattern to spring and with that we see unsettled patterns forming, with clouds coming and going according to whim of the weather.

For those who don't know the area, this is just to the Palmaire side of the Parks/Glenn interchange

reindeer farm near Butte. The reindeer farm is an interesting story of little guy vs. the feds and the little guy winning!
