Thanks.

I took the photo and didn't find it very interesting, but my wife saw it and said that "it's one of her favorites."

Oh, thank goodness for the bride The photo seems endless with your focus...that path (natural or no) draws in a person. The depth is infinite

The kit lens was a Canon lens, but the 'wide-angle' was a cheap brand that didn't do a thing for us, for an example.

I know nothing on the Tamron lenses...hopefully someone can chime in about those. Seeing as how that particular auction is just for lens and camera, as long as Tamron are comparable lenses, it sounds like a good deal.
I have a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens that I use on my Canon 40D. It's an outstanding little lens: fast, sharp, and not very expensive. It has been an excellent buy so far. But I don't know about other Tamron lenses.

I used Tamron lenses for years, everything from fish eye, wide angle, to a 400mm with an extender and loved the lens...but not sure what their quality compared to others is right now. Actually bought them out of NY in the back of a photography mag. In fact just sold the complete camera set ups and the people who bought have been happy with the set ups.

Can't go wrong with that outfit... I've purchased from those guys a couple times, eBay's largest camera seller, look at his feedback number..313k @ 99.7 %

The D70 is a great starter DSLR camera, Rance had one...I still have mine and use it regularly even though I have the D200 & D300 also

Those 2 Tamron Lenses would work fine for you...

I have one Tamron, the new 28-300 VC ....Tamron's first Image Stabilized lens that came out this summer. VC is Vibration Compensation....they make good lenses
