That would be cool! McGrath & Kuskokwim freight services sold out to Black Navigation (Yutana Barge) in about 1971-73 or so, and was bought out again by Crowley tug and barge a few years back.

Use to work for a guy named Bruce Crow sliming fish during the summers there in Bethel, then when I turn 16, started working on the river boats hauling fuel and freight in the summer because we had running water on the boats, pay was $500.00 a month with room and board... Thought I was making a million bucks then.

Bruce Crow was always good to work for, I heard he had passed away some years ago, he was quite a guy.

Yes, he passed away a couple years ago. He was one of the nicest people here in town. He had so many stories. It was a sad day yesterday, Bruce's grandson was the kid that got killed at that party in Anchorage over the weekend.

I need to take a picture of his old barge that is tied up to the riverbank that I'm sure you worked on.

I didn't know that was his relation, that makes it even sadder for all involved.. I am in Anchorage right now working on getting the boats ready for summer and it is all over the news, one of the guys I work with, his daughter was his classmate and babysits for the family...

He had a barge painted yellow back then that tendered fish and then would tow up to town where we would slime the fish, put them in boxes and ice and ship them to Anchorage to be processed.

Widows are for unmarried, noncommitting single guys. Rance has Hannah, and if she found any widders up in the loft, Rance might be hanging from the rafters.

That particular lens Rance purchased online and for some reason they wouldn't ship to Alaska so it came to me first.

The same company however did send him his Bigma direct to Alaska...
I order from B&H, and the lenses are delivered to my door step

The first fatbike class in the University of Alaska ever! Proud to be in it, too!

Surly Pugsley Fatbike

Surly compared to a Cannondale.

Ray....Rance didn't order either of the Sigma lenses from B&H but through Amazon due to significant price differences, and neither were gray-market

I don't know that it was determined why the Bigma went directly to him in Alaska but the 20mm did not....something to do with the vendors I would suspect
