That looks to be suspiciously like a heavy dose of "reverse" fanboi to me!

Owning one given brand of camera is not what makes someone a fanboi. Advising others to buy the same brand "because I did" is what defines a fanboi. It's a disease that even affects owners of Pentax and Panasonic cameras!

Really nice photos in recent days and the weather looks great. Are the mosquitoes out in force yet?

I've seen very few mosquitoes so far, even walking around in wetlands, I haven't seen many.

Just like Camera equipment...what is the intended use, and how much do you want to spend? Binos can be had anywhere from $50 to $2000 and up. Generally, anything less than $100 is going to be "toy" grade junk, and above $800 or so starts to get into the rarified air of the serious birdwatchers and hunters, or just plain quality freaks (like me). The $300 - $500 range seems to be the sweet spot as as far a getting excellent optical/mechanical quality for a reasonable price. Above that, the law of diminishing returns starts to kick in. However, if you noticed my other thread, it is currently possible to pick up a pair of what would be considered "premium" binos for a quite reasonable price.
