I'm sorry, I know this isn't exactly an AK pic....but ran across this on my way up to Saginaw MI last Saturday
They are thousands of miles from either, and headed to Northern MI, LOL!

I'm not much on "pretty landscapes", and in particular sunrise/sunset images, mostly because they are so utterly boringly easy to do, and 40,000 photographers every day snap a pretty one. On the other hand, that makes coming up with something that distinctly stands out (for example well enough that National Geographic, an outfit that just loves that kind of image, would look at it), is perhaps not just rare but exceedingly rare.
Those two images rise to that level.
