Fabulous pictures everyone!!! what a pleasant morning it has made for me!!! I really enjoy the snow pic as we have yet to see any amount here on the east coast or cold weather for that matter. am waiting patiently but I will take looking at all your pictures for now!!!

what do you use and like for a tripod??? any advice on reasonably priced tripod that will support a good size hunk of glass??? Solid support for Nikon D70s with a Nikon AF-S 80-200 ED lens. Height is also important. thanks

Most of my photos are while I'm out walking around, so instead of carrying a tripod, I use a monopod. Much lighter and easier to carry.

I have two monopods but not with me here in RI...have you used the mono with a large lens??? how difficult is it to balance??
