Yes, apparently there are also some caves there that a few people I know have been crawling into to get some really cool photos of the Ice Walls. And apparently there is also a local photographer who knows all of the spots and will give guided tours. I keep meaning to stop there on one of my trips but just never seem to make the time.

Thank-you everyone!

I was up for 10 days with 4 other women (yikes! What was I thinking???, lol) and basically was their tour guide. I planned the whole trip day to day from SUV rental to where we stayed, ate, etc. I think everyone had a great time but I was at my wits end by the time it was over. I pretty much live a life of solitude so having 4 women with me for 10 days was a bit long. 2 days were spent in Anchorage where I participated in an art show. I hadn't been back to Alaska in the fall since I moved away 3 years ago and I'd forgotten how beautiful it was. I'm planning on coming back up in December and looking at real-estate. I really really need to be living where my heart is because I feel kind of dead here and I never wanted to leave AK anyway but sometimes circumstances just happen.

4the luvofgold-great pics too!

Oh AKRaven... I love that church too... I've seen so many different pictures on CD and also books I've purchased about Alaska... I'm so with you... I do want to live where my heart and soul seemed the happiest.. hard to believe that 25 days in my life could determine that but it's not just the amazing beauty but the people I met there while visiting. Nothing like the lower 48 thank goodness !!
