I am sooooo jealous. oh well, atleast the Blackberries are being over generous. I have Blackberry syrup, jelly, some dried and a bunch canned for whatever use I find down the line. We, one of the grandsons is here, have eaten so many Blackberry muffins, pancakes, waffles and cobblers that he begs me not to do them any more. But he sure loves picking them! Begs every day to go pick more. lol Then I have to figure out what to do with them. I plan on sending plenty with him when the goes home on the #rd of Sept for school. His mom will so "love" them. Last year it was apples. Didn't bother with the Apples this, just let the deer have them.

LOL, I start dropping weight in spring when the first fish & herbs start to arrive, I just can't seem to find time to eat much during the 'hurry up and get ready for winter' season. But then I sit around all winter watching the snow fall, eat everything all up and get fat again. Doesn't everyone have 3 sizes of jeans?

AlaskaNana - I use most of my berries for juice concentrate. I won't buy that "10 percent real juice" junk in the stores but between the blueberries, huckleberries and cranberries growing wild all over the place, I don't have to. Blackberry wine would be delicious!

Don't do wine, anymore. Too many nights abusing it while I was in the USAF at Elmendorf. My favorite wine was a cheap Blackberry one. Can't remember the name of it, maybe that's a good thing. Decided the Cherokee in me better avoid alcohol if I wanted to remember what I did. My mom and step-dad used to make a fruit beer and wine when I was in HS. The beer stunk up the place with all the fermenting. Anyway... homemade Grape juice is great also. Hadn't thought of juicing the fruit for actual drinking. Don't know why since I love juice. I have been using the juice in pancakes and waffles, what a waste; well not totally since it makes them taste great! I will have to put some aside for juice now. Thanks for the idea. I have 2 sizes of clothes and like you I just assumed everyone did the same. lol Gotta love the winter. All that layering ...... hides a lot.
