so thought I would come to Alaska. From what I have seen on these forums Alaska is the place to go if you like hardship, rude, obnoxious people and love a good laugh. Well, that is me and here I've been living all over the world and never knew the place I longed for was waiting for me in Alaska.

So I know you guys are there, waiting for unsuspecting people with all those great adventurous spirits hoping to meet some Alaskan people to tell them big, fat lies about how cool it really is there I know it's horrible already but that's what I am most comfortable with so bring it on

I'm coming up there on a wing and a prayer in the Spring (2013) and I am going to live out my days there. And I am truly hoping when it's my time, all my loving friends will be kind enough to let me go out as I've dreamed of, on a piece of ice (just give me a shove off) falling asleep under the Northern Lights (unless I get eaten by a whale first).

Sounds good, but you may want to change "whale" to "polar bear"

Oh shoot, they can swim can't they. More likely to show up then a whale I suppose

Maybe I should rethink this. Nice to meet you Ray I really am moving up. I am researching housing in different areas. Thought I might find some good info on this forum. I have and also, I have found some hilarious posts that make it well worth joining the site

If there's one thing I can promise you, it's that it is cool here. Often, it is VERY COOL.

"one who does things in a small way; also : tightwad". I usually do the right things in a small way and I've never been smart enough to be a tightwad. And if you're not rude and obnoxious I won't fit in up there So lie'ta me or I could end up in Florida!
