Not much of a night sky in Nikiski compared to the interior. Too much humidity I suppose? But the night sky is clearly different betwenn the two places!

Hi,

I'm here for work.

I've heard that you will either absolutely love or hate it here. I'm totally in the middle of the road here in Fairbanks. Then again, its only been about 11 months. I'd better give it a few more years to see.

very pretty, but there are pretty areas in the US as well that are a lot warmer. It's already colder than I like where I'm at in eastern South Dakota, but I must say I love my mother's acreage when I go visit, can't hear any sound of man around.. and no cattle either, it's all corn/soy farming. So peaceful, and there's something to be said for being able to see 30-35 miles in the distance (the view to the east, since my mother's up a bit in elevation)

Warmer climates for people who like Alaska would include Montana, black hills of south dakota, western north dakota and the oil rigs, the western panhandle of Nebraska (Scottsbluff), Eastern Colorado.

This is from the black hills.
