Are you as Alaskans happy with the American government or would you rather be a part of Canada if it was possible?

I think most of us would rather remain with the US. If any change were to happen we would rather be independent than be part of Canada. We like Canada and Canadians but we don't say "eh".

I mean besides the whole eh thing what makes you want to be more Independent then a part of Canada ( not saying you couldn't handle being alone cause you can with your natural resources and the oil though that will run out)

Alaska has most of the US natural resources, and around 69% of the landmass belongs to the Federal Government. I doubt that Alaska can be a separate or independent country, nor one that can be part of another country other than the US. There is no way the US would just release the hold of the riches (precious and other minerals, coal, oil, and the rest) it has in Alaska.

If I well remember, it was released to the news not too long ago that Alaska can't just secede from the US, because unlike other States, Alaska was purchased from another country by the US government.

Well that is sort of Obvious but if the major places like Anchorage and the coasts of BC like Juneau could leave the union to join Canada would they?

No, and all of this secessionist talk is ludicrous. Good lord, one election and people lose their **** completely.

I think the U.S. Government will never let go of Alaska due to its rich natural resources. I think conservative Alaska will rather be independent than becoming part of liberal Canada or corrupted Russia. LOL

I could never understand why anyone would want to live in Alaska to begin with. I would rather live in Minnesota.
I can't understand why anyone would want to live in Minnesota. Good thing I live in Alaska. Shame you'll never understand.
