We also have Tribal Sovereignty Day and Michigan Indian Day (both in September). Although, that still doesn't makeup for all the land and rights that were taken a way.
I'm not Native, but I work for the government of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.

I do agree with warptman though. We should thank natives every day!
Okay guys!! You're right! We should give thanks to everyone more than once a year.
But could we just have a post without contraversy and hidden meaning.

I really just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. That's it.
IF you like I can change it to Happy Turkey Day. Or just Happy Thursday.

Take your pick or ignore the post.

Hey Warpt! Hope your thanksgiving is great too. I'm working tomorrow in the afternoon. Will be celebrating on Friday. Having turkey for dinner... What is this, huh? The goddess demands fresh caught salmon!

We had a meeting last week and before the other worker said something, I said I'd take tomorrow off and work a couple hours on Friday. The look on his face, priceless.
