Yes, I was over helping a friend with their car, was -26 tonight and the ice fog seems to be dissapating.
For all you Natural gas lovers, get this. today on the job I am helping build. our gas fired heaters started dropping out, one by one they quit. Seeing it was more than just the building we called the gas company. They said let me get back to you on that. Later we found out that they were having a gas shortage with the very cold temps and all the new users. The had some of their big clients switch to alternate fuel sources to bring the pressure back up.
Needless to say I won't be switching to natural gas any time soon, and we better seriously think of building the gas line. I can imagine the news! Fairbanks businesses close due to gas shortage. Buildings, Box stores and malls freeze up! Sounds like $ in my pocket if it ever happens. The OT will be killer!

Good luck with that storm thingy, Karla! Today was a gorgeous day down here: perfectly clear and new snow everywhere. As the sun set the alpenglow on the mountains was absolutely Alaska-esque! I wish I had had my camera.
