Would you let me move in before blowing the bridge, Mr. Moose?

Saying you might turn one of the busiest bridges in the entire world into a giant pile of matchsticks could get you a visit from Ms. Janet Neapolitan. Even worse, you could end up being one her top three favorite flavors of Alaskan homegrown evildoers.

Not a bad idea. But one thing for certain, I will pack across guns and ammo for bears, moose, caribou, and everything in between. Also .22LR guns and ammo for grouse and ptarmigan, or any other bird on the ground, water, or standing on something (rock, tree, etc.)

Are you thinking of a different McCarthy?

Gustavus (Glacier Bay) or Eagle River (Anchorage). Skagway (South East) comes in third. Nome comes in fourth.

Cooper Landing or Sterling. If money were no object. But I love living out in the Copper Valley/Glennallen area. The land is cheap and it is so much more quiet than the Kenai which gets over run with people in the summer.
