I haven't made any phone calls about daycare yet, but do any of you folks have little ones in daycare? I have a preschool aged child...and from what I can tell, it seems as though there are a lot of available spaces in centers and even people willing to do in-home care. But what I'm curious about are rates! (Curious...and terrified! lol)

Anyone know??

Rates don't seem to be any worse than anywhere else. Yes, there are a lot of daycares centers, in home care providers, etc. You can check craigslist for both and there is an agency that list licensed providers, I think, can't remember the name of it.

I don't have kids but work with them and have checked out the daycares in the area. Also have met one or two providers in passing. You'll have no problem. Just like any other city, plenty of choices.
DM me if you have any specific questions.

I have friends with kids in daycare. They both pay about 1500.00 a month for two kids, but this also includes a warm meal, etc. So figure in the ballpark range of 600-800 per child. Not cheap by any means.

nah, certainly not cheap, but only slightly more than what we pay here, so that's a relief to see that it'll be "affordable" in terms of what we'll earn and what we make now, what we'll earn then, etc etc...
Thanks for the info!!
