Blue tarps were all the rage for a number of years here on the northern mid southern peninsula. But I've noticed in the last few years a trend of white house wrap with bold blue lettering. Also the tarps are now being offered in green or brown...so in summer months they are not so easy to spot! When I first built my current house...I lived in it with only 4 real windows and 4 visquene windows, covered inside and out. Heated only with a small brick lined wood stove the place actually stayed warm. And that winter it hit 54 below at my house. Those were the days...

Actually my house is T1-11 siding. So I really don't need a tarpaulin!

Direct flight from Anchorage to Chicago - 7 hours
Direct flight from Chicago to Stockholm - 9 hours
Short hop from Stockholm to Jonkoping - 1 hour
$1500.00 round trip ticket and the smile on her face - priceless!

Had I stayed one extra day in Sweden...the ticket would have been 1200! Go figure.
And don't be shy about praying for good weather on the northslope come Dec 26th. It will be a sad day if I'm weathered in and cannot get out of Kuparuk.
