Interesting. I wonder if we get could British Columbia, north of the Yellowhead Highway, to join in as well? Don't really want southern B.C. to be in the new country.

Your new country would have gobs and gobs of good stuff like oil, gas, gold, and other valuables. Just how long do you think it'd take the United States to come up with a sorry azz excuse to invade & occupy your Garden of Eden?

A month? Less?

Well...do you have any idea how well armed Alaskans are. We have several military bases also. One with the latest F-22s.

Help me understand this?

It conservatives who are generally behind this. Conservatives tend to preach patriotism.

How does this show patriotism??

How long has the United States been fighting the Taliban in Afaghanistan? A decade or longer? Yep, Ima thinking our rag tag bunch here could last quite a bit longer.

This is a really stupid subject to be debating. The aroma of tea party comes through and the love of guns is the preeminent force behind everything they stand for. Russia is a dictatorship and some of the people here don't understand that. Your conservative views wouldn't last five minutes if that was to happen. Get real and look at what happens when Russia does anything----Can you spell bloodshed. Yea your guns without a live person to fire them are just a bunch of fence poles without the barbed wire to hang on them.

Oh no, we are totally serious. When we take over Alaska we will give those that do not want to be part of our new country 24 hours to leave and those that want to join us 48 hours to join up.

Personally I prefer coffee over tea.

All we will have to do is send Robot in and those wusses that would try to stop the formation of our new country will wet their pants and run for the lesser 48!

Huzzah!

I think our conservative views will serve us a lot longer then your koolaid drinking views. After all the only thing you can do is bow down and follow the leader. Drink up koolaid boy!

Go for it then, stiff...
You don't understand the current Russian method of governing very well if you think that their military, security services or the little midget putin himself would let you keep your guns.
Either you'd be chillin' quite soon in some gulag or they would have tucked you away under a cold stone slab!
Let's be real here folks... Putin is a product of his KGB background!

No, no, they're going to make a country with the Yukon and the part of BC that doesn't have "*******s" and tell Russia and the US to come and pry their guns out of their cold, dead hands.
