I don't think I would give Russia or the U.S. that option.

Anyways - I really hope that this entire thread is all sarcasm... At least that is the way I am taking it. Entertaining notions.

Stiffbrain you have a world view that has no concept in reality if you think the current Russian regime would allow you one second of discord with their overall game plan. Your conservative views will serve you about the length of time it takes for you to attract their attention which is no longer than the time it took you to concoct your koolaid drinking views. Have you ever heard of artillery? They possess this kind of weapon which is on the magnitude of thousands of your guns and they will use them to their advantage. Or don't you read the news wherever it is you're located as to what their Syrian brethren are doing to dissidents like stiffbrain who don't understand what keep your mouth shut means. Do you have any understanding of what a repressive regime will do to anyone who doesn't bow down to them and drink their koolaid the way you imagine anyone would do in this country? The fact of the matter is they look for dissidents like yourself who express such archaic notions as rights and freedoms to express such controversial views and eliminate them as soon as they are dumb enough to identify them selves. "Yep, Ima thinking your rag tag bunch here could last quite a bit longer than it would take to blink your eyes." Maybe long enough to regret even not shutting up.

Canadalaska has a nice ring to it, no?

There are many, many threads about parts of Canada somehow joining the U.S. on the Canadian forum. The consensus appears to be not only "no," but "Hell, no!"

But if Alaskans really want to join Russia, why not just ask? As we've seen with the Crimea, that's all it takes to get Putin to send in the military welcoming committee.

No sense of humor at all. I bet most of them sit around wringing their hands while watching Red Dawn cause they think it's real. And that bothers them, a lot.

Neither Russia or the lower 48 would stand a chance against real Alaskans.

We know lower 48ers would wet themselves and run, (if they could), when confronted with one of our specially trained troops.

The Russians will be stopped here and party with us.
