I agree with every word you've written about these Sara Palin haters and past events. You've amazingly made all your points and listed most all unfavorable/indisputable historical facts and issues about democratic leaders in this forum. Unfortunately, the Palin haters will only carry their poisonous/virus spreading hatred to other forums like this one. Its good to read words that reassure me that serious caring Americans haven't forgotten historical events that gotten us to where we are today. And I could add some more but I'll draw my red line in the Syrian sand here. “The truth does set you free” and keep you sane. I'm happy to read I'm not alone holding these historical facts in my memory bank

I'm embarrassed to think there is anyone in Alaska who thinks Palin isn't embarrassing.

LOL what? I mean, that is just hysterical. Suddenly, just six years ago, "we" started spending our nation's money on stupid stuff?

Are you not aware of the financial situation before that point?

I'm guessing...no?

Obviously there is a clear lack of critical thinking in this thread.

Just because someone doesn't like Sarah Palin doesn't mean they are "libs" or democrats. I know there are some libertarian type republicans that can't stand her and wish she would go away. Most of them agree with Democrats and to an extent Independents in that people like Sarah Palin are part of the reason the Republican Party is imploding and not winning national elections. If the tea party was out of the picture, more moderate republicans could win.

Yes, spending was high, but nothing like nearly 18-trillion today. Are you blind? And yes, I understand that President Bush started the big spending, but "hope and change" only increased spending and took all hopes away.

You got it backwards. Independent Alaskans (I am one of these), don't like voting for the entrenched Republicans nor the Democrats. Most independent Alaskans along libertarians were the ones who got Joe Miller to nearly dethrone Princess Lisa.

The moderate Republicans are RINOS like MaCain, Lisa, and even the Bush brothers.

Harrier -- don't tease -- a Palin bid for presidency would be too good to be true!

Sorry Ray but the spending into oblivion started way before Obama. Bush passed tax cuts for the rich whilst fighting two wars, essentially unfunded. He turned Clinton's surplus into a massive deficit yet where was the hue and cry? People on the right were amazingly silent when the guy with the correct skin tone sat in the WH.

The supposedly tax cut for the rich was across the board, including avery tax payer in this forum. Well, maybe you didn't pay taxes during the Bush years?

I am not talking about spending and President Clinton, but the spending that President Bush started after 9/11, and then gone sky high for the past 6 years.

Still don't understand it? Then read this old CBS news from three years ago:
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/national...an-under-bush/

Quote:
The latest posting from the Bureau of Public Debt at the Treasury Department shows the National Debt now stands at $15.566 trillion. It was $10.626 trillion on President Bush's last day in office, which coincided with President Obama's first day.
The debt is now over $17-trillion.
