What are my options for getting from the Alaska Ferry dock in juneau to the Juneau International Ferry? My brother told me there weren't enough taxis for all the passengers. I called the bus system, and they said the bus stops a mile and a half away from the ferry dock.

Is there a car rental agency within walking distance?

Can you call and reserve a taxi, The airport is not far from the Ferry Terminal ? (A few miles)

No, the nearest Car Rental would be @ the airport.

As mentioned, calling a taxi just before you dock would be best. There may be a few taxis at the terminal, but then you'd be competing with all the other passengers. Another option, is to talk to other passengers. You may find some who live in Juneau willing to give you a ride. I gave a ride in reverse several years ago. I struck up a conversation with another passenger on the plane. After a bit he asked about bus service to the ferry. I told him his only option was a taxi. Since he had about 3 hours, I offered to show him the glacier and then run him to the ferry terminal.

There is a car rental company in Juneau that will pick you up at your location (i.e. the ferry terminal). I believe they are called Juneau Car Rentals, or something similar. The cars are older and kind of junky, but they are about $100-$200 cheaper than the big rental companies in town.

If you are looking to go cheaper you can do as the posters above suggested. Taxis are somewhat limited in Juneau, but if you miss out on the first round of them you can just ask that one comes and picks you up afterwards. The ferry terminal is perfectly nice and waiting in there for a taxi would be pretty easy and comfortable.
