Moving to the Kenai area after signing a multi-year contract. Job is good and now we have 2 months (moving in June) to plan the actual move. Anyone ever drive from the mid-south up to Kenai? Any recommendations on moving companies or finding rental houses that are furnished? Good realtors? We can find stuff on the internet but would like the opinion of someone who has first hand knowledge and is not trying to sell us something. LOL.

You will likely not find a rental house with furnishing in the kenai area during summer months. They will rent on a month-by-month basis, but the price is going to be multiple thousands. Winter is easy for temporary housing that is furnished.

Houses in Kenai are cheap, they could just buy something. This is also a good time to buy stuff in AK on alaskas list and craigslist.
