Speaking of snow, and getting away from useless arguments, I just ran across this. Sounds pretty darn interesting if you ask me.

My aforementioned cop friend has been filling me in on Alaskan culture for over a year now so hence that assessment.
And just where is your cop friend originally from?? Seems strange to me you want to move to Alaska but you are coming with preconceived notions and an attitude. Hate to tell you this but your "know it all type" attitude and being so judgmental will not fly here. You don't have a clue about Alaska or Alaskans do you?

Well, I guess I'll be finding out shortly enough. And I've defeated my hangover so my apologies for my cantankerous attitude earlier.

Satch...your ideology probably is "more in line" with quite a few Alaskans than that of Xa'at. You'll definitely find more right wing types in Wasilla than where you are currently living. But your in the face attitude about it isn't "in line" with how most of us really are.

Once you move here, try not to say on a regular basis, "this is how we did it back home." That gets old fast. A lot of people move here and think they can change the way people live to conform how they lived where they come from. That doesn't work. Try to fit in and keep an open mind. Down south attitudes tend to keep people away from you.

Well, at least there isn't much danger of Satch yapping it up in the Mugshot about how "we did things in Cali".

I figured as much. To be frank, as long as my wife and munchkin are happy and I have a high-speed Internet connection, that's pretty much all I need to be content. I'm honestly a live-and-let-live type of person. Once again, my apologies for my crankiness earlier.
