I would also recommend getting a “jump start/air compressor kit” and some tire plugs.
Harbor freight has a really nice one for about $125 and the noodle type plug kit is less than $10.
Money well spent.

I also would recommend buying or building extra long and heavy duty jumper cables so it is easy to jump start your ride from a car that is behind you.
Think welding leads/cables with custom pigtails.
Welding leads can be bought easily new or used and can be easily sold as well for a possible profit when no longer required.

Good luck to you.

I made it in today. Left Northern Arizona on Friday, February 26th at 4AM. The trip was almost uneventful. Blew a trailer tire in Butte, Montana. Brand new trailer. Went to a tire shop and had all 4 replaced with non-chinese made tires.

Got hung up at the Coutts border crossing for almost 4 hours. It was quite the ordeal, but we were finally able to pass through.

Saw the Aurora Borealis in Pink Mountain, British Columbia. They were spectacular. 2nd time I've seen them in my life.
Got back on the road at 4AM Monday morning, before the plows were out. Had 3-4" of fresh powder on the roads. The first 6 hours I spent driving through the rockies at 45MPH over fresh snow.

In Northern BC, the ice buildup under my truck disrupted the Auto-trac, and I was unable to use cruise control. It warmed up a bit, and with some heavy suspension movements over the frost heaves, the problem fixed itself.

The coldest temperature we saw was -16°F in Northern BC. The warmest part of our trip was actually in the Yukon. It was 29°F when we stopped in Whitehorse for the night, and 14°F when we got on the road the next morning.

My total weight with truck and trailer, with a 1/4 tank of fuel and no people or luggage was 15,440 lbs. I weigh 225, my buddy weighs around 250-60, plus our luggage, fuel and extra fuel cana, we were well over 16,000 lbs in my 2017 Silverado 1500, and my average fuel mileage over the 3,581 mile drive was 9.2 MPG. Not bad for a gas pickup designed for comfort rather than work.

I'm exhausted, and ready for a day of rest.

Glad the trip went well. You experience at the border is similar to what I've heard from others.
