My thinking:

*The ranked-choice general election of four candidates might be unhelpful to her.

One final thought - I thought she did not live in Alaska. Wasn't she in Arizona, at least for awhile? It seems that once she became nationally famous, she left Alaska for a career in... well, a career in being famous, for lack of a better term. I know many politicians are not native to the place they represent, but her situation seems particularly problematic politically, at least to me, because Alaska is a particularly unique state requiring more specialized knowledge to properly represent and because her departure was a rather obvious example of 'I made the big time, see ya!'.
LOL. Ya, she's got that in spades!

Perhaps she snowbirds in AZ, I don't know. It's too bloody hot there to live fulltime for anyone who has grown up in AK.

Picked up a noteable endorsement yesterday, FWIW. Hopefully, not much.

She sold the Arizona house awhile ago: https://people.com/home/sarah-palin-sells-arizona-home/
I see her around Wasilla on a pretty regular basis.

I think she was hoping for a big payout more than anything.

I would worry more about the new "rank voting" Alaskans will go through from now on, than any politician trying to run for office. Would voting for a person because of one's likes and dislikes make a difference to Alaska?

I happened to scroll past the Alaska forum and I saw the headline "Oh for the love of God" and thought "I bet this is about Palin running for office again."

Thank you for proving me right!

'Cause 50 people in the running for a temporary job is not enough? You should try it and see if you get some donations.

And even more fun, in August we will be rank-choice voting on the top four temporary house candidates and at the same time we will be voting in an open primary for the actual 2-yr term.

A very dear long time friend ran for public office once as a sort of silent protest against all the other "choices" and their views. Don't recall what office, but it was something important enough for the election returns to be broadcast on TV. He didn't campaign, fundraise, had no platform other than what was minimally necessary to make his candidacy official. During the campaign season up to and including election day, he went around trying to convince everyone that he really didn't care about votes and that the whole thing in his eyes was a farce, but we kept finding him sneaking into the TV room to watch the returns with the volume off so no one would suspect. As the evening went on he got more and more preoccupied with the tally and his sarcasm disappeared. Despite no campaigning at all enough people voted for him to tally! He did appear a little bit proud of it.

Good news, everyone! In a just-released poll, Governor Palin is leading in the special election to fill Representative Young's seat.

I believe you can now contribute to her campaign as well.
