We were thinking of taking the ferry and was wondering if there was a site or something to get information. We are planning on doing it at the end of March. Not real sure where we would get on though

If you want to get on in the lower 48 your only option is to leave from Bellingham, Washington. If you want to drive another 16 hours futher north you can get on in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

ok thanks I think we are going to do the Bellingham unless it is way cheaper to drive to Prince Rupert.

I did some checking and either I am doing something wrong or we won't be taking the ferry. I would like to do our trip the first of April, leave from Bellingham and arrive at the closest port to where we will be(not that any are that close) I keep getting a message that there is no ferry dates avab. Did I do something wrong?

you cant take a ferry directly from bellingham, washington to say whittier in south central.you have to take a ferry from bellingham to juneau then take another ferry on the once a month cross gulf trip[which only run 4 or 5 months a year]from juneau to whittier, and once you get through the tunnel in whittier you can drive the rest of the way.its kind of confusing,i was researching the whole thing myself.its not real cheap either

Hey. I've done that one with kids---if I remember correctly, you're doing it with kids, and then you're driving to Central?
