Not that I really care, because I honestly don't, but my buddy told me this is one of the crappiest summers in recent memory. I dearly love sitting on my back deck while sipping an appropriate adult beverage and enjoying the sun reflecting off of Hatcher Pass and the surrounding mounts.

However, I've only been able to do that a couple of times in the past month or so. I assume that this is to be expected? Once again, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, I'm just searching for some info regarding weather trends here.

Satcher, you should have moved up to the North Slope, the past two days they've had the state high temps. I believe it was 76 up there today. Its been a cold one out west here, right now its 47 degrees and cloudy.

Ouch, I guess I won't complain then. We've been hovering between 56-68 for the past two weeks. Cloudy, always a chance of rain (I wanted to weed-whack today-didn't happen) and a bit dreary.

My neighbors say that this isn't normal. Last year apparently the trees in our front yard, annoyingly planted and arranged by some Asian woman several years ago who owned this property and left because she couldn't hack the weather (I had to go clean up the impressive pruning and chopping that my wife did), have suffered. Screw that idiotic Feng Shui.

Would you believe that my in-laws house in San Jose, after 3 viewings by an Asian couple, didn't sell because some Asian wife decided that the feng-shui was "too energetic?" I'm not exaggerating and this is the absolute truth. Unfreakingbelievable.

I'm not asian Satch but your sarcasim and tone against asians is somewhat overbearring. I don't go along with all the feng shui stuff either but chill out over the ones that do.

Well, that woman's aversion to the wrong "feng-shui" has cost my wife's parents well over $60,000 and counting. Hence my animosity. They were going to buy the house 8 months ago while the market was still relatively strong and, quite frankly, either that was an excuse or an exercise in stupidity. Given that these folks were pre-qualified and loved the house otherwise, I really can't lend too much credence to "feng shui." If you want more info, PM me. That ridiculous decision has cost so much in other aspects as to be mind-boggling.

Lolk, there's a big difference between being a racist and realizing that the excuse of bad "feng shui" is merely a ploy to haggle the price of a home. Unfortunately, I truly believe that her nonsensical "feng shui", as if this woman couldn't redo the master bath for God's sake, was a contributing factor to their non-bid. Three showings and that was their excuse.

Sorry, I just can't believe in that ridiculous crapola. You have to understand that Silicon Valley is an area that defies common sense. If you're not bi-lingual in Spanish, Chinese, Indian, or Vietnamese then you might as get the heck out. Which we did. Not to mention that it costs an INSANE amount of money to buy property there. California is one of the absolute WORST possible places to live in this nation. Unfortunately, it took my wife and I 10 months to realize it.

I completely agree. My neighbors in WA took over a year and a half to sell their house. That sucks someone saying they wouldn't by the house when they can redo anything when they own it. Excuses people make these days. No one's ever accountable anymore huh. Hope your parents have better luck with the next "possibles". Remember the days when a promise and a handshake actually meant something...not anymore tho. Sad really.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing real estate correction, their house has devalued more than the drop in asking price since Mrs Brain-dead Feng Shui dropped the ball. Jeez, I know I come off as a racist but I simply can't tolerate the stupidity of some people. THIS IS THE USA-GET USED TO IT! You conform to our culture, not the other way around. (If CA would understand that the same principle applies to the armies of illegal Mexicans, we wouldn't have so much of a problem).

All right, enough thread diversion. Damnit....
