Hello all I new to the forums, I joined hopefully to get some help and info on Kenai and surrounding area. Since I have been finished with collage, I have been wanting to move North, currently I am living in Oklahoma. I was wondering how much the rent is for apartments are, and also was wondering if a Honda civic would be able to survive there during the winder. Also if anyone would have information on shipping services that would go to Kenai. And last was wondering what is the general demeanor is of people in the area, I am from a town of about 250 people, and use of saying hi to your neighbors, I miss that somewhat since I moved to Oklahoma City to go to collage. Kenai is located at the mouth of the Kenai River on the Kenai Peninsula. Not a bad place. Sort of scenic, fair amount of work, not real cold in winter, renting can run 500 to +/- 2 grand depending on what you rent. Apartment or house. Yes a civic will be fine all year round. The roads are paved and maintained through the winter. I live 20 miles away in Sterling. Soldotna lies 10 or 11 miles away. And Nikiski is about 10 miles also. It's a 3 hour drive to Anchorage from Kenai.
