They built a new hospital not that long ago; Valley Hospital or something like that, hell I don't know. I have a couple of friends who work there as RNs and they seem to like it okay. They probably have job listings online. As far as nursing homes I don't know of any but the Pioneer Home.

My 18 YO daughter got her CNA last year. She is working now at a daycare during the week, and weekends taking care of an elderly lady.

There is quite a bit of in-home care available for CNAs This is private work. There are a lot of assisted living homes that need CNAs. The Pioneer home can use CNAs but you generally need to wait in line to get a job there.

From what I have heard CNAs are needed, at least down here on the peninsula...I would check on the cost of the state test where you are, the state test here...what it costs to transfer or requirements here..then decide...Even if you can get a job with the certificate, you would make more licensed.

Well it can't be more than the 300 it took for my daughters RN state exam. I think. So there is the top line for that expense...
