Headed over to Nowhere this morning to check out our brand new hunting road! Tags in back pocket. Wish me luck!
(If we don't get the bridge, how come they let us have the road?) I don't know, either. Maybe someone can fill me in?
Have a great day, everybody!

Maybe you'll have to bring the bridge with you...

Well in the sceme of things, I think the bridge will be built someday, most people in the States don't have a grasp how much those roads mean to the people in Southeast and it was an easy target to poke at from the rest of the Country.

The bridge is going to have to be really high, so the cruise ships can pass under it.

A bridge to the airport wouldn't be a terrible thing. Hell, most of the people who use it are from the lower 48 anyway. I don't think the people living on Gravina want the bridge though because it would mean tourons flocking over there.

I wanted it for selfish reasons. I always have 100 pounds of tools, clothes bag, computer bag and probably parts to walk down that ramp from the terminal, and then walk all of it back up the ramp to the parking lot on the other side, to get a cab for 3 blocks to the The Landing. After I'm done, I have to trek it all back to the airport (in reverse fashion). I ALWAYS break a sweat going into Ketchikan.

The big dig part two, Alaska style. They did it in Boston, why not do it here? Build a tunnel under the water! They should build the bridge just so Mal won't work as hard.

Thanks Warpt. I hate that trek

Love the town, and the food at The Landing isn't bad, not great, but better than the Village Inns here in Anchorage.
