But, factor in the clouds and it will likely be darker later in the morning and earlier in the day.

Daylight depends on where you are at in the state. The length of daylight varies due to the postition of the sun versus the axial tilt. March, at the vernal equinox, on the equator would be 12 hours of daylight versus 12 hours of night. Barrow, northernmost city in North America would have come back out of 89 days of dark into it's first sunrises about 5-6 weeks beforehand. Anchorage, about 700 miles south, which is in the south central part of the state has 3-1/2 -4 hours of daylight on it's shortest day, December 21st. It gains about 5 minutes a day starting about 2 weeks after the winter solstice. In mid-March, 70 days later, it would be up to about 10 - 10-1/2 hours of daylight.

For those who want to nit-pick, all of these are estimations based on life here. There are sites that can give better figures and times, I just don't want to research them. LOL
