Sorry, Rance It was a sharp and sudden jolt, and I think I was the only one who felt it. It rattled objects on the wall and moved the ottoman a bit. Rippled in and out fairly quick.

Well mostly it sets just before dark....

Having got that out of the way, you need to ask "Where" in Alaska, above the Arctic Circle, it is "Legally" sunset 24 hours with no sunrise/sunset on about that date.

In Fairbanks, it may be about two thirty PM, in Anchorage it may be 3 PM or so. In Southeast, it may be closer to 5 PM.... Alaska is about 1500+- miles tall, and about 2500 miles wide, it covers five time zones, but was changed to one some time back. So it may be broad daylight in Dutch Harbor, but hours after sunset in Juneau.

So you need to know where you are asking about.

Love those answers...I was laughing so hard, forgot what time got dark here tonight....ahhh tomorrow is more dark...not even bad yet....
