Never did like quakes. Terra should be Firma. Or maybe it was just living so long on an island with the possibility of tidal waves, I never liked those warnings either, even when they just turned into huge tailgate parties on Pillar Mt. But when I got there in '69, there was still a lot of left over cleaning up to be done after the Good Friday quake - the house I was living in still had dried seaweed stuck to the basement walls 5' off the floor. And the house next door had been knocked off it's foundation and sat all tipsy for another year before someone finally bought and leveled it - and that doesn't begin to describe the changes in the coastline and road shifts.

For us down here lately.
sunrise: 7:00 ish
sunset 3:30 - 4 ish.

I don't know about everyone else, but I never pay too much attention. It changes every day and I just don't keep track. Except that when the days are shorter, the work gets shorter when we're out fishing. We drop anchor or tie up to a public dock when we can't see the logs in the water.

For sure shorter...they say 5+ minutes a day and that should be split both sides, but doesn't seem so...This daylight savings thing made it worse I think....paranoia with the lack of sun...just wait until April
